BioChip SpaceLab

SCORPIO-Vs BioChip SpaceLab (BCSL) is an accessible platform that enables academic and industry investigators to automate live-cell culture experiments with sophisticated microscopy techniques in the microgravity environment on-board the International Space Station (ISS).

Our Team offers experiment design, customization and end-to-end support for BCSL users, allowing the investigator to focus on their research.

The BioChip SpaceLab offers fully automated time-lapse live-cell imaging using an imaging system that supports bright-field and fluorescence microscopy. We support 4x, 10x, 20x and 60x magnification.

The BioChip SpaceLab allows investigators to observe live-cell cultures on a minutes to hour basis for the duration of the experiment.

The Lab using phrase-contrast imaging capabilities allow investigators to:
- Characterize confluence, cell growth, and proliferation
- Observe cell function, migration, and morphology

ON RIGHT: HNu: Awarded NASA’s Space Biology Program Grant to do its own biological experimentation with HNu Bio SpaceLab aboard the ISS.

Microscopy, Bright-Field & Fluorescence

These capabilities support Adherent, Suspension, and Organinoid cell cultures. The use of fluorescent microscopy allows for investigators to characterize cellular processes and sub-cellular processes and sub-cellular functions in real time for the duration of the experiment. The BioChip SpaceLab provides 7 Laser excitation wavelengths and multiple dichroic and emission filters offer a wide array of fluorescent imaging capabilities.

FLASH, THE DETECTION DEVICE

  • FLASH looks at the ELECTRONIC FIELD and PHOTONIC SPECTRUM of a sample or the tongue’s surface.

  • FLASH then scan for specific Biologics or Compounds (including COVID-19) to detect if it IS or IS NOT present. 

  • FLASH then automatically processes this data (as image or video) and gives a GO/No GO Determination at the Point of Care within 5 minutes.
  • CHQR ID

    Color Holographic Quick Response

    CHQR ID (Color Holographic Quick Response) is an identification system that utilizes 3D holographic codes uniquely created for each individual. It's protected with military-grade encryption; cannot be copied, hacked or altered. CHQR™ ID can be printed as a physical label or created as a digital ID.

    Integration with Inventory and Trace & Track Software The CHQR 3D codes can be integrated with existing ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle. It can also be integrated with Track and Trace software as  well as cutting edge Blockchain supply chain implementations.

    BETWEEN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR

    FLASH CHQR IS BUILT ON THE TRANSPARENCY MODE

    • FLASH CHQR Family of Technologies have been used by GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE RESEARCH in stringent Clinical and Security-Based Settings with components currently flying on the ISS (INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION).

    • FLASH CHQR is pursuing parallel adoption with Government and Private Sector to Accelerate use in the FIELD. This parallel process allows us to reach both Markets simultaneously

    • FLASH CHQR is to be submitted to the FDA under EMERGENCY USE AUTHORIZATION.

    • FLASH CHQR will also be submitted for support under the CARES ACT MANUFACTURING PROCESS.
